Health Tip – Good breathing habits will enhance your psychological and physical well-being.

Proper breathing requires the use of the diaphragm, the layer of muscle that separates the chest cavity from the abdominal cavity. When you breathe properly, the diaphragm contracts and the abdomen protrudes, allowing the lungs to expand and fill with air.

Exercise: Take ten power breaths three times daily in the following ratio: Inhale for a count of 1. Hold for a count of 4. Exhale for a count of 2.
