Health Tip – For business performance, drink at least 2 litres of water daily, between meals!

Water has many functions throughout the body other than flushing the kidneys, including dissolving minerals, and acting as a delivery system (nutrient transporter), a lubricant and a temperature regulator. Drinking enough water can also be the most important catalyst for metabolising stored fat.

Since the loss of fluid commences earlier than the feeling of thirst, it is important to drink a “lump sum” and not just when you feel thirsty. A glance at your urine will serve as a good indicator of whether you are in a hydrated state or not.

And why is water so important for daily performance? Well, our brains are approximately 80% water. Therefore, a dry brain can’t perform! If your water balance decreases by only 2 percent your performance output, mental and physical can decrease by as much as 20 percent!
